Dr. Ivan Rawl Williams has over 12 years of clinical experience in family medicine and primary healthcare. He began his career as a Medical Laboratory Technologist, which led him to pursue further studies in medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Guyana and completed a Master of Family Medicine from the University of Edinburgh.
Dr. Williams has worked in multiple healthcare settings in Jamaica and Guyana, including roles in emergency care, outpatient services, and chronic illness management. He has held leadership roles at Andrews Memorial Hospital as a Medical Supervisor.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Williams has presented on topics such as Men’s Health, General Health Practices, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus at national forums. He maintains continuous professional development (CPD) and has attended various medical and leadership courses.
Dr. Williams has also been involved in research, conducting studies on stillbirth prevalence and depression related to chronic illness.
