Dr. Stephen Ramroop is a highly experienced Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon, with over 35 years of expertise in surgery, emergency medicine, and disaster management. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles in both clinical practice and national disaster management, combining his medical expertise with strategic management skills.
Dr. Ramroop served as the Medical Chief of Staff at San Fernando General Hospital, leading a team of over 300 healthcare professionals. He was also the Head of Emergency Medicine and Trauma Department, where he successfully managed critical trauma cases and coordinated emergency response teams for nearly a decade.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ramroop was appointed as the CEO of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management under the Ministry of National Security in Trinidad and Tobago, where he played a pivotal role in developing national disaster response strategies and managing crisis situations.
Currently, Dr. Ramroop operates his private orthopedic and trauma practice, while also running SR Management Consultancy Services Ltd in Toronto, Canada, where he provides expert consulting in Disaster Risk Management, Forensic Medicine, and Healthcare Management. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Forensic Medicine to further expand his expertise in the field.
